I thought it might go for big bucks. Have to be careful not to spend it on a lolly at the store eh? ;-)

Nancy,
Other coins finished last night too. So go to seller, select items for sale then check "completed items" to see the really nice florin and crown.

Hi all. Found this "wavy" on ebay that should be of interest. Item number 300210331544. The auction ends April 1 and bidding is currently at 99c. I think it could be a fake. What are you thoughts?

I think it looks genuine, well as far as I can tell. I think the final price will be in the $170-$230 range depending on how many people are looking for one.

I'm not real sure about this one. I can't see the Wavy bit reflected in the water swirl above the base of the 2, so I'd be a bit wary of it.

If anyone's thinking of bidding, some clearer pictures would help.

I have to agree Nancy. Although the photo isn't that clear it appears that the curvature of the top of the 2's baseline isn't mirrored in the water swirl immediately above. If it is a fake, I wonder how its done. Here's a scan of an authentic wavy that clearly shows the wave in the water swirl above the base of the two.

I was too concerned that the item was not the real deal so I asked a few friends and the overwhelming response was too hard to pick from photo.
Assuming it was real the price paid was reasonable

I have to say, from the photo, I feel it wasnt the real deal... As said above, the wave above the stroke just didnt look right!

Zaggy I felt exactly the same at the time when I seen it,the pics were not clear
Hope buyer got his genuine circulated coin and is happy
I did ask the seller a question before it was sold and got no reply so that to me means seller doesn't care and with items like this a reply is necessary to a potential buyer
