Just Found 2008 Uncirculated Penny Rolls

Mine are in the red and white wrappers. Should I take them out? How do you verify they are all '08?

Yes mine are also in the red and white wrappers. The outside of the box should have an inspections stamp with a date of around Feb 11th. Also if you look through the holes you should be able to make out some of the dates as 2008 and all the rolls have to be shiny brand new looking.

The cheapest way to ship them I found is a priority flat rate box. I can fit 2 boxes of pennies in there and ship it for $8.95. It doesn't matter the weight you have up to 80 lbs to fit in there for 1 low price. I have been putting them on ebay (under the seller name jewelcard) for a fixed price of $80 with shipping of $9.50. I have been averaging a little more than 1 box sold every night. The ones running 7 day auctions are realizing prices from $70 to $78 with the same shipping.

I have only 3 boxes left, 2 of which are on ebay. I keep 2 at a time on ebay as I do not want to flood the market. I tried getting some more boxes from my banks today but they were all out. One bank said they should be getting some more in next Wednesday so I am keeping my fingors crossed.

I have either been calling banks or going to them and I always ask them for the new 2008's and they all knew what I was talking about because they went and got them for me, so I must have been lucky and hit banks that know their business.

One bank today did say they had no way of telling and I told them to look at the date stamp on the box and the lady siad the boxes are not dated. Well after she went and looked she comes back with a box and a surprised look on her face. I guess she realized I did know what I was talking about. Alas it was a mixed box and not a 2008 box.

Here is a pic of my boxes. You can see the holes on the box so it lets you verify that there are 50 rolls of coins. This is how I can tell they are 2008's also.

I have been to a dozen banks and still cannot get any. It seems no banks in my area have 2008 yet. Last year at this time I never had a problem

Me too!!

The only full boxes I find are 2007's....too late for any real profit on those.

Why aren't there any D mint boxes available yet?
