If the VDB is perfectly aligned and symmetrical, it's not real...the "B" should be a little misaligned.

What's you're ebay seller name? Also, you might be risking putting up decent coins that will go cheap if the description is wrong or the pictures are bad. That's why we're here to help you before you get ripped.

Another option would be to submit the coin for grading through a well known grading service such as PCGS. I'm sure if it was fake you would find out pretty quick. Also if it is real and you were looking to sell it, having it graded would surely help.

Dont sell at all! :( I always hate to see someone pawn off a wonderful collection within days of receiving it. To each their own I guess. Maybe i'll find ya on ebay and buy some from ya, who knows.

SLAB IT! If you have little or no experience then that is your only sure bet. If you must sell it then do it wisely.

Yea Betty...I know what you mean about posting pictures. I've been here for two years and have tried dozens of times to post pictures. I've read the tutorial, re-read the tutorial again and again, downloaded what was suggested, asked questions, etc. I've come to the conclusion that only a select few are able to attain this level of blissfulness.

Betty and ichi..when you start a "new topic" here, you'll see a little green camera button below the text area that says, "add image, do not use special characters or spaces in file names, letters or numbers only"
this means NO SPACES and NO ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) : " < > ? ; ' , _ in the file name.
also, you may have to resize your photos so they are accepted by the forum website. I usually reduce my pictures to 400.
Then, when you click on the green camera button, it's exactly the same process you would use to attach a file to an email.

I didn't notice any mentioning of selling the collection. So if you inherited a coin collection and are considering keeping it and/or continuing it, why worry about any coins authenticity. Even if a fake, it fills a slot in an album. For all you know every coin in the collection could be a fake. Not important if your just saving or collecting. Maybe in the future or even now if just wanting to dump the entire collection, there are many coins you may want to know ahead of time if real or not. If so, contact a coin dealer somewhere and see if they can help you sending many in for authenticating, slabbing, grading to a TPG service. TPG = Third Party Service. My suggestion is be happy with what you have and keep as is as a momento of someone now gone.
