Real VDB, mm pos #3. Genuine VF-20.

Why is this in classic coins? Anything with a dead man on it belongs in the modern forum.

(The early Lincolns were just as high relief and nice as designs of the period, so maybe you could call the early Lincolns classic? I don't know)

VF-20 net for me; great reverse, but jaw/cheek is virtually flat. Great coloring and a most appealing example.

obverse VF20 reverse VF35. weak obverse strike. it could possibly make VF25. if you look closely at the reverse there may have been tape across this coin the top right under "ONE" and the bottom right above "UNITED STATES" you can see across this entire area where it looks like some of the original toning was removed. I also agree with MM position #3

Good catch panzaldi! Another friend was looking at the coin and said the same thing.

VF-25, appears to be genuine..but check for the die chip in the upper loop of the S to be sure.

I have one NGC slabbed VF-30, I'm pretty sure I'm right on the grade with this one.

That "tape mark" could possibly be the metal imperfection affectionately called "wood grain" or "woody".

I can see VF 25 on this one.

And can see the reverse looks like tape.

But I seem to remember there were some folders that had
bands of glue that held the folders together. I can remember
sometimes glue residue would get on the coins, after being in
the folders for a long time.
