Looks like an original cameo Lincoln that was wiped at one point IMHO

I agree. It looks like the typical proof found in circulation.

You know what , I was about ready to disagree with you guys until I realized just how big this Lincoln is magnified up in size . So it's very possible it's a typical circulated proof .

I buy that; it was my other original guess. And it's really too bad because I think at one time it was a 1950 cameo proof and there weren't all that many to begin with.
I'll put it with my other impaired/weird proofs and they can talk among themselves and get the rest they were intended.
Edit: One last thought...how would you grade this little bugger?

Can you take a picture obv. and rev. only without blowing it up in size . I'm curious to know what this proof looks like in hand . Then perhaps we can add a number to it .

( Hi, BOP, I see you up there ) Yeah, I can do a quick phone pic of the O&R, but this will be the opposite extreme, i.e., low res, more the way it looks in hand: I should have messed with the exposure a little. The coin is quite a lot lighter, but it gives you an idea of what it's like without all the "scratches".

I'm terrible at grading, but I'll try my luck with PR-55, although I think it could make 58. What's that little thing around 9:30 on the reverse rim?

Quote: What's that little thing around 9:30 on the reverse rim? A bit of wool fuzz. My wife is a rabid knitter. Those sound like generous numbers for what I've decided will go on my FIDO page I'll take that. Would you give those numbers if you'd only seen the latter pics? Sorry, gotta go run errands - be back later,

It's actually a fairly attractive coin.
