Thank you athalbert. I'm going to have to bring this back to my LCS :( unless someone wants to trade for a Constantine coin!

Have you tried ebay? You can get nicer, larger, rarer Constantine I bronzes for less than $25. Feel free to run anything by us if you have hesitations as to authenticity.

So I brought the Constantius II coin back to my LCS (I paid $21 for it) and got this instead:

Again my phone camera is of low quality, but I think these pics will suffice. I feel this coin is decent looking enough to fill the nickel Three Cent slot when I get a 7070.

I think I did better using the $20 on this coin rather than the other coin. What do you think?

Mods - I didn't know if I should've made a new post but since it was relevant to this post, I refrained from opening a new topic

He wanted $25 for each bronze Roman coin. That one was identified as a Constantine coin and I want a Constantine the great coin so I traded in a bunch of Zincolns for it.

I gave him $21 because the coin star took $2.75 and I spent $1.25 on a soda. He wanted the $4 when I came back. This was my first experience with a Roman coin or any coin more than 200 years old.

Athalbert: The coins that you generously gave me arrived on Tuesday. I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you, and thank you - one thank you for each coin! The constantine the great coins are, well, great! Thank you very much for those. I also appreciate the one's of his son Constantius II. All of the different years and mintmarks and the different rulers has greatly expanded my knowledge of late roman coins. For example, the coin of Constantius II as ceaser was minted while his father constantine the great was still alive. Then the one of Constantius II as emperor is similar to the one I had bought and it's cool that it was probably minted in Thessolonia. This mini collection is sincerely appreciated. Thanks again Athalbert!
