I think 7 or 8, ranging from minor rust spots / discolored to barely recognizable but still magnetic. I'll snap a photo tonight.

I do the same thing with pre-1940 and S mints. All other P and D mints go loose into zip-lock bags. I've got over 10K LWC so tubing them all would be too expensive.

10K? Holy moly!!!! That's a TON! I don't actively pursue the series so my collection = whatever I find in change or rolls.

Here ya go, @ChildOfTheWheat -- 1 lonely 1943-D, 3 1943-S, and 5 1943-P, all in less-than-perfect condition, and all removed from circulation.

I agree with Coinfrog, and I too have many thousands of Wheats from C.R.H. Using plastic tubes is way too expensive for large amounts ! Gems, keys, etc., is a different story, but bulk storage for common dates has to be cost effective. Anything airtight is sufficient in this case. So, if your current endeavor increases at a faster pace, you would do well to switch this storing practice, financially speaking.

Looks good ... I love roll boxes like these, they can really help organize a collection.

We used to coin roll hunt when pennies were circulating in Canada but, now don't get that chance any more but did end up with quite a few wheats 20 odd rolls I think.

That's a nice set up there. Quote:I do the same thing with pre-1940 and S mints. All other P and D mints go loose into zip-lock bags. I've got over 10K LWC so tubing them all would be too expensive. I have my winter project waiting for me in my basement. The last count I was over 65,000 LWC that I need to go through. I may be blind before I search them all, but it should be fun.

They are getting harder to find. I do not normally CRH, so unless I get one in change, I don't see them often. Occasionally my cashiers will find them in the drawer and save for me.

Well organized collection ! Congrats ! I started to organize my wheats better , 2x2 for the better looking ones and will roll the rest per date /mintmark , I have probably between 2-3k so will take some time Thanks for sharing !

Hopefully I am not overdoing it, but I like to keep all my coins organized by date and mint mark separately. Also because most of them have not been checked for errors yet. Those that I think are valuable/have errors are in a 2x2 and stored in an album. I figured I would sort all of my coins first and then inspect each individual ones. Still have a lot of wrapped rolls from the bank that I need to go through. I have 3 full rolls of 1969S and 2 full rolls of 1968S that are BU that I haven't checked yet. I bought them from my local coin shop and they were in OBW and supposedly unchecked. I have a second plastic box that I just got it and will be splitting the denominations since this is too full.
