Awesome, thank you all for the feedback! No issues with authenticity either? Sounds like not, which is great. I've never bought an old coin on ebay, so I had my concerns.

Great gift. Doubt that many are faking heavy worn 1858 FEs for sale @$12. 1856 may be another matter.

The obverse rim hit at 4:00 is probably a factor in the price. And the color, at least in these pics, does not appear natural.

It's real, large letters variety, color looks correct, does have rim damage. $12 is decent market value.

Nice coin for the money. I've been collecting for 35+ years and have always been fascinated by the flying eagle series. Not sure why it fascinates me so, but surprisingly enough, I've yet to actually own one. I'll have to make that change here soon.
