Looks like some nice rolls. It would be a shame to put them into circulation. The problem with selling them online is the fees and shipping costs will eat up most of the premium over face. Maybe your best bet is a local coin club or show.

I would try to see if there is someone local to you who would be willing to buy the whole lot. Not a dealer; they will just offer face value. Plenty of collectors are willing to spend 3-4x face for such rolls. The problem isn't ebay fees so much as shipping costs; sending a bulk quantity of cents can easily eat through your profit, even if the buyer helps substantially. Still, if you can sell $100 face in cents for $400, it is still a good deal even if it costs you $100 out of pocket to ship. And likewise, if a local collector is willing to pay $300 cash for a local pick up, that is a viable option as well. Have you found anything rare yet? Big ones to look for (Easy to distinguish, and that you could reasonably find) are 70-S small date, 1992 CAM, and 1998, 1999, and 2000 WAM.

You need to make 243 more posts and put them for sale on CCF. I only need 7 more posts to buy them. A roll or two at a time and they will sell for quite a bit more than the bank. Coinstar charges you to take your money, if you wand to lose 10% off of face, I'm game. I went nuts a few days ago over finding ONE 1967 in that condition.

If you don't need the money and have time. Build up some posts here and sell them here.... There are other forums out there too to sell on, but I have to warn you, new seller will normally have to ship 1st, or sell at a lower price to build credibility.

I was seriously considering ebay for a while, what are your thoughts on paying for shipping. Honestly I usually click that magic button in the search filters that restrict it to "free shipping" auctions only, so do people actually pay shipping? It wouldnt be shooting myself in the foot by asking the buyer to cover shipping? Also, would it work better to sell them as a lot, where one shipping charge covers all? I guess I need to do some more research....

You can load up to 70 pounds in a flat rate priority medium or large. But you really have to double box inside the outer box.

CWB - I wouldn't post your email. If you have time to edit, I would.

The best thing to do for starters is to get a list of what you have, and take some sample pictures as you did with the 1962-D Lincolns. Also, get a price guide on BU rolls... some dates like 1969 through 1971 P are worth a good premium in rolls.

I say don't sell anything. Keep it for awhile. Learn about coins on here. Then, when you are more knowledgeable, sell them at the right price. I already see all these sharks circling you, ready to move in and to take a bite out of you. Look at what they did to this horse.

If you have $100 face you could get that into a flat rate box and ship it relatively cheap. If you had enough posts I would buy the lot from you without hesitation. Here is the last group of wheat cents I bought. Roughly $500 face.

I already see all these sharks circling you, ready to move in and to take a bite out of you. Look at what they did to this horse. He stated that he already looked through them and they are common dates (1959-1970). If he sold them to a bank for face value he would get more money than dropping them in a coinstar. Quote: I am hard up for space and money. I can't hang on to roughly $100 face value worth of these cents that do not seem to have any real collector value He wants to free up some space and get some cash, he is just asking advice on the best route to go. I don't see any sharks....
