Fine, details, graffiti.

Details coins do not have numerical grade assignments.

Agree F-12, just barely, and definitely a details coin.

with F-12 Details, which is too bad because it seems like a nice strike.

Thank you all for the replies and confirming the grade. Being a newbie I am still learning about grading coins and boy do I have a looooonnng way to go.

If I were to sell this coin in the future, how much would the initial devalue the coin compared to one of the same grade without it. Would it be around 30% below market value?

The discount would be a lot more than that. That "M" kills the coin because it is on the obverse in a focal point and it is large relative to the size of the piece. You are looking at a major discount when you will be able to sell it at all.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it's best you learn now before you make additional mistakes. Problem coins are seldom good buys unless they are super cheap, or they are super rare and most collectors can't get anything much better.

Thanks @billjones. Actually I will not sell it. Instead it will go into my penny album since it is the only Flying Eagle cent that I have.
