 To the CCF!! Nice looking Morgan. I give it a MS63 Edit...Unless the fingerprint was just put on there, it is probably there to stay. I don't believe acetone will help. Edited by MontCollector

As you probably know, do not use anything but acetone when cleaning coins, unless you ask the CCF first. Don't use baking powder, vinegar, erasers, toothpicks, sponges, toothbrushes, or wire brushes. When I was younger, I made a mistake and used all of the above on my coins.  |

It looks 63 or so. That fingerprint is etched into the surface like 99.99% of them and will not come off. Since it's a relatively low value coin you could try acetone without worrying too much about hurting it.

tansy! MS-63 and as others have mentioned acetone can't hurt. Might not help but it's always worth a try. |

Thanks for all the input and welcomes :) Does it change anything if this coin is so shiny I can read text reflected on it? It's the only one in a book full that has that kind of shine and why I had so much trouble getting pictures of it. Really enjoying going through all of these coins! I received some stamps too so my desk is a disaster of coins and stamps :)

Looks to be Uncirculated from the later pictures. Probably MS60.
