That is sharp! I wouldn't mind getting two of them but the price is a bit of a turn-off.

Thank you, CC-Ottawa, for the picture. For me, it gave an idea, that: This item, just set of circulation coins, simply inserted to the card. If these coins will be in circulation - RCM will distribute the circulation packs...all of them. If this true, do not see justification to pay CAD 34 for this. (I suspect also, that even these cardboard cards will be possible to find for few dollars)

Yes 35 plus tax is not cheap but the 1999 sets which contained 12 quarters was 25 IIRC. Factor in inflation and this one is a bargain. lol But, good luck trying to find all of these coins (5 of which won't be circulated) in your pocket change. And then try to find the display to put them in. Not going to be possible IMO. Doubtful that you'll be able to buy them on-line separately for less than 35 either. For 40 bucks all in, I'll have the set and display them without much worry. So I guess it comes down to either you want them, or you don't (or you wait to see what the next set offered by the Mint might be). BTW, Bromberg has already presold 1000s of these sets. I'm sure the Mint has presold many more. They will not be rare nor will they make anyone any money reselling them. Then again, neither will a case of beer or couple of takeout pizzas and we all know where those ultimately end up. added: Quote:If these coins will be in circulation - RCM will distribute the circulation packs...all of them. I suspect that the cancellation of the FV program means FV circulation packs are gone too. But even if they are not, I doubt the Mint would do FV packs for the dime or the nickel.

I understand your points. What I expect: **Traditional design coins - available only here or Gift packs ( CAD 20-25 + tax) **Anniversary design coins: Circulation packs by RCM or rolls by dealers (like CA) So you right, actually - self-compilation will not be cheaper. My hope - to see the product, that will be kind of "one level above" in the presentation (if you remember - the 1999 or 2000 quarters in plastic case, organized as "M" ) Added: Question: The 1992 quarters set on the variety of the cards (available for CAD 10 - 15) - is this RCM product, or 3-rd party compilations?

By the way, the coin show will be on again at 6pm and 8pm tonight.
Apparently Bromberg will be on for three more days. Check TSC programme guide.

I know these sets will be massed produced and I for one am not looking to make money off of them. If I like them I buy them. Future value is no concern for me here. I still have time left to buy these with my free shipping. $34.95 CDN = $26.61 USD and NO tax.

I just got my set in the mail today so I would think that many more of you did too. I thought that was a pretty good turn-around time as I had only placed the order Feb. 17 and here it is ten days later.
For those who have received it, what do you think? I'd have preferred it was less money and without the cardboard stand. It may appear again in some other configuration before the 2017 year is up but I did not want to take that chance. I had to buy the traditional set to get the traditional 50 cent piece and who knows what I might have to buy to get the commemorative 50 cent piece.
I'm sure we will all be nickeled and dimed on that one too (bad pun)!

Is anybody buying all other circulation sets in addition to this one?

Quote: I'd have preferred it was less money and without the cardboard stand Wondering if that is because of the price issue alone or if there is something else, quality, performance (falls over) etc? I have not received mine yet and am curious. I ordered it because I thought it looked very cool. Always admired those flashy cardboarded sets I saw at the PO.

Finally got mine! A handsome collection. Still admiring the cello. The classic nickel and dime are covered by the fold-out tabs when viewed from the back (unopened). Hadn't noticed this before. Was thinking I might display like this instead of opening. I'm a Canada Day fan boy and this set is now an emblem of my abiding anticipation of the event. Not too many more snows now.

You're right, CC! Know I've got plenty of self-control. As long as it doesn't need testing. Was on RCM page, I think, when it went up. There was a flash of credit card. Little choice but to blame Punman for making me think I was excruciatingly patient.

I'm glad I checked the forum. I haven't been near coins for quite a long time but this is quite a historical moment for Canada and I will pick one up soon.
