Wouldn't bother me a bit to see it drop back to about $260 for a few months and then make the big jump upwards but I know that is not going to happen. Oh well, dreams never hurt anyone! Catman, you send out that $74 dollar gold I ordered from you yet?

Crystalk,
It wasn't all that long ago Terry. I haven't got my facts in front of me but gold didn't fluctuate much until around 1970 when thr U.S. opened it up to private ownership. Until then they kept pretty tight controls on the price.

I think it is the other way around Gold price was fixed under the international Bretton Woods agreement which was allright untill the US started printing dollars and the French and English turned that paper into ounces of gold at 40 $ per ounce after a few raises ( I think from 35 to 37.5 to 40 ) The agreement was falling apart because the French and The Brits were emptying the goldvaults of the US Coincidently with breaking up Bretton Woods for all of the world ownership was allowed again probably in a move to keep as much gold as possible in the US even in private hands

Weather forecast for the next 6-8 months first sun then rain Based on Slow moving Stochastics and time repeating cycles The forecast is for a gold high between now and no later then the first week of february with a possible target of 514 till 535 $ per ounce ( I would rather be completely wrong on this then right ) After the high there is a 6 months downmovement which can be deep but may proof to be very shallow Overall I am only intrested in the high to sell some printed paper saying company share

Wish I had a truck load to sell but I don't. I, like most other folks, would still like to buy a little but prices are quickly washing that thought down the drain as well. Almost bought into some palladium about a month ago and boy do I regret passing that up as well! Win some, lose some!

For the last four and a half years I have been buying gold coins and everybody and his uncle laughed at me and my wife was very indulgent Now that I made 30% this year alone they wonder how I knew and why I am not selling I think gold has way to go but because the promise is in goldmines now I now switched to buying paper mine shares

Well ageka I can pat you on the back for buying gold but paper has me worried a tad bit? Keep buying the real stuff as hard assests in hand is a really safe secure feeling and you are in control of the buying and selling!

O so true but that paper is going 700% in the next two years and for every mine that fails I have the coins that go higher and I played the same game in 1978-1980 so I know I can get burned but I am edged four ways first I edged my south african shares with canadian shares and then I edged the total with physical gold and I got banlanced between intrest paying mines and loosers that at 500 $ an ounce still manage to lose money but it are those that maybe tenbaggers like the specialists call them ( 10X original investment) and the odds are better than on the national lottery or lotto )

And look what gold in euro did went and jumped over and above the restricting trendline that makes me very nervous because it predicts very wild swings and paper shares I sell by telephone in five minutes time any day

Well ageka you have done well now that I understand that you didn't put all your eggs in the same basket. Good luck my friend as you are doing what I TRY to do with all my coin collecting, buy some to keep, some to sell, and some to speculate with and, for the most part, some are rising in value while others are stable or losing a little. It all balances out (thats the plan) in the end and I feel like I have done my homework and there will always be a little profit instead of huge losses in the stock market! Keep up posted!
