A couple folks asked which was the hardest to find and a couple asked which was the last coin to get. I'm curious to know also.

Although I filled the last hole in mine a year ago after working on it off and on for 30-35 years. But, I can't say it's finished, there are plenty of upgrades still to do. Not sure which was "hardest" for me to find. Nowadays if you can find almost anything online, although I got most of my 7070 coins over the years from coin shows. But, the two Seated Liberty dollars were my last ones, mainly due to expense more than anything. The funny thing is I just now noticed I had a seated liberty and the Trade dollar switched (wrong holes). I had a brain fart I guess.

Batboy...Reading your post was almost like reading a biography of collecting my 7070!

I worked on mine on and off for around 25-30 years. Also, the last ones to acquire were the two Seated dollars because of the price. And boy have some prices gone up! I still remember the day I bought my 1798 Large Cent, 2nd hair style (s-187) for my 7070. Today it would set me back over 6x what I paid for it back then!

Congrats ! I bought a couple 7070's for fifteen bucks apiece and tricked em out with the modern bicentennial and gold pages. I can't find those pages anymore or I would buy more. Should have loaded up.

Congratulations on the milestone! I have the same version of the 7070 that my wife gave me for Christmas several years ago, and have 50 holes filled so far.

Super Job!! Congrats! Looks Great!

Been working on mine on and off for over 20 years.
Down to about 25 to go I guess. It comes and goes.

And Joe! You are filling yours pretty quick.

Very nice! From one Nickel Guy to another, you done good sonny. Keep upgrading as you can.
That 1826 Half Cent and the 1875 Twenty Cents are eye catching coins. Who has two Seated dollars?
Nickel Guy that's who!

Excellent work, sir! Plenty of sharp coins there. The 7070 is by far the pride and joy of my collection. I did make the mistake of including several details coins in the set, but at the time, a filler was better than a hole. Yours looks very nice as is ... but I'm sure that, like me, you're already prioritizing which upgrades to do first! Mine are easy: the two coins with holes drilled in them! LOL

I love the type set albums so much ... I always come back for another.

I enjoyed just as much the second time as I did the first.

The only bad part ... it makes me get mine out and start thinking about
what coin I can upgrade next.

I suppose that's one way to think look at it.

With me, it's what can I start next!

GREAT JOB, Nickel Guy!
