Sometimes I am tempted to bid or buy them now just to have the seller get charged final fees and never pay when I see stuff like this. There is no worse category on ebay for misrepresentation and the crooks know where to rip people off the easiest.
Of course I don't or wont bid, but I do get tempted.
Hey it is certified by PCGS! woo hoo!

That's the weirdest PCGS slab I've ever seen (ahem).

Hopefully someone doesn't lose $500 on this.

Actually, I did report it for being a clear violation of policy for grading claims. However, I don't hold sway like bobby.

Sometimes when it is this blatant I tend to feel that if they do they deserve what they get. At least have SOME idea of what you are throwing your money away on.

I was to late. I went to that sale and all they showed was real proof coins. I wanted that original one he showed. I really missed out on that one.

I agree, but, still. I guess the bleeding heart in me pictures someone with a pile of cash just getting into the hobby getting duped. Or a grandma buying a "specimen" coin for her grandson, etc.

But my other mantra is caveat emptor, so... yeah.

Now, I'll happily pay way too much money for a small, rectangular piece of cardboard with a couple cents' worth of ink on it to fill a hole in my collection. But to your point I KNOW what I'm getting myself into....

Cuzzx- did they ever get back to you?

Listing is not found anymore, must've got shut down. I hope it was a joke and not a poor attempt at trying to rip someone off.

I am new at this, but even I laughed when I saw the picture. That's is wrong in so many ways.
