These are minor die chips or simply coins banging into each other in the process of falling into the bulk bins, toonies are made at 200 or so a minute, as long as the coins meet minimum specs they are ok. Would you pay much premium for this toonie ?

The 25 cent coin looks like a reverse strike. Could you post some more pictures?

ShareBear, I think it's just an optical illusion. At first I thought there was something unusual about the twenty five cent piece as well, but I think it is just the way the picture was taken.

I have a 2017 150th anniversary of canada mint error coin. On the reverse side,of my coin 1) Broad Strikes - the immage of the bridge is already in the rim of the coin,or off center. 2) laminated Planchet- in front of the train there is a missing immage of the stones. 3) Doubled Die- in Letter A in canada 4) Doubled Dies- Take a look for the tower that is pointed in letter D of canada there is another shadow immage of thesame tower that is also pointed in letter A of canada. My Coin is Uncerculated maybe Graded ( M-S 69 ) It has a very clear and sharp immage

Brodpit on the reverse of your coin. there is a large die chip in the letter D. Brodpit something else. to look for on the loonie the top of the CN tower. one of the members showed me a near and a far. the top of the tower one it was almost touching the letter D in Canada. the second coin there was a distance from the top of the tower to the D in Canada. its no problem to see the difference with your eye.

This is the clear photo shot of the coin, on how the bridge is already tauching the rim of the coin.and look at the rim itself, Its deferent than any other looney.and the word DOLLAR it looks like doubled dies.

I'm trying to decide for myself if the mint just has crap quality now and we get to sift through it all before they rust.
