I just came across this thread, awesome story. I would vote you keep the coin unless you have a real need for the money.

If it had been me, I would be doing exactly the same thing because we could certainly use the extra $5k.

I wish you the best of luck with the auction!

I'm so happy to see this outcome as so many of these are fakes.

I'll join those who say that if you see a coin and are asked if it is original or fake - it's so wrong to just say 'fake' without any supporting information. I'm so proud to be a member of this community but get so angry when members shout 'fake' and provide no supporting facts. OK, my rant is over.

I checked the listing before I scrolled down. That's a beautiful outcome to this topic!

The last I checked, it was at $3,000.

That's one heck of an inheritance and the authentication/grading was more than well worth it. Congratulations, Rarefindsrus, and that was certainly a rare find!

Wow! What a beautiful story. Congrats, I was very happy to read the coin turned out authentic.

NS552 - the seller gets money Probably 5,300 less 15 to 20 would be my guess.

DLRC has an odd pricing model where the seller pays the auction house fee, unlike most auction houses that charge the buyer.
