Well it does help that I am a teller at the bank and my ATM takes anywhere from 100,000 to 120,000 in 20s.
I don't look at each serial number but when I am going through if something catches my eyes (repeating numbers) I will look at it.
This one was sitting at the top of my 20s so I almost gave it out.
I have gotten quite a few neat bills from there.

I honestly was expecting this to be a newbie post where someone had a not with 4 zeroes or some such, but WOW! That's a great find!

Worth way more than the $50 being quoted. In the hundreds at a minimum.

Nice find! I agree with the others at $50 and up.
You asked about Currency books: I have numerous, but the two I go to for most quick day to day look ups are:
Standard Guide to Small Size U.S paper Money 1928 to Date:John Schwartz and Scott Lindquist A Guide Book of United States Paper Money: Arthur and Ira Friedburg

Wheat - I don't know much about this sort of thing, but when you say "in the hundreds at a minimum", could you be more specific?

Check ebay sold listings a $1 bill with the same serial number sold for $209 recently. But remember the value doesn't go up proportionally to a 20 so it doesn't translate into $4,000 rather 200 is a fair estimate

Yeah I have one book (and online) that says it adds a value premium not a percentage premium.
