WOW !...It's going to take a LONG time to "spend" $1,000.00 worth of halves....HOLY CHRISTMAS !
So far, my bank hasn't said anything about being a dump station. I have the "main home bank" and then two other of their branches in town.......it's the other branches that I use as the dump station and I order from the Main bank........no complaints so far.

Good luck! I do the same thing but use a whole different bank for my supply bank versus the dump bank. I dont want to take a chance that a teller from my supply bank has to fill in at another branch so thats why I use a completely different bank for getting rid of the unwanted stuff.

Good luck to you! I just dropped off my second box of halves. Notning of interest in them, not even a 40%er. Lots of 89D in superb condition. Oh well, I got spoiled on my first box. nlp

currently around here taco bell crunchy tacos are .69ea. so thats 1449 tacos and some change. and each one is 170 calories each so thats 246,330 in taco calories. and at 2000 calories a day that should last you 123 days of eating 11.7 tacos per day. this could make a cool documentary. some numismatics, some taco bell, I sense an instant classic.

or you could find a bank that will take them. :)

I don't think I would want to take them to Taco Bell either. Taco Bell does bad things to me

onejinx..........Wheaties came from my local coin dealer. I've been sitting on them for about six months. Just threw them on the pile for effect.

Ive been trying to get banks to order half dollars for me and I cant convince them. I guess Ill have to try harder. I order boxes once a month. I order 4-8 boxes of pennies and 2 boxes of nickels once a month. I usuallu find around 25-50 wheaties a box and 1 or more Buffalo nickels a box. I keep all the nickels from 1962 and under.

Boy, you must live way out away from the big city banks, to get that many wheats1 I am lucky if I get one in a box, or two. A Canuck now and then, even foreign coins the same size as the cent, but no where near what you are getting!

I got a 1952 nickel in change the other day and commented, "Oooo, it's older than me."

I got applause.
