I see faint doubling outlines on the right side of the lettering, with similar spacing width of doubling compared to FS-102 pictures. Hard to capture pictures, doubling does not stand out well. May need to take more pictures tonight.

Did you download the full size pics from the PCGS site and compare the Reverse to your coin?

Look at the first S in States and also the E in States and the F in OF.

There is clear notching on these letters in the PCGS coin.

Also, look at the last R in Dollar: Clear doubling on the PCGS coin that I'm not seeing on your coin.

(IMHO).

If you feel that it is the FS-102 maybe send it in to a TPG
for certification etc.

At least you know its definitely the FS-101!

I am with chukster 125,this is a DDO-001 FS-101 as I don't see any doubling on the reverse of your coin.Do you see a light die crack East-West through upper hair under ER of LIBERTY? I can't tell because of the glare! if there is one, your coin is stage c.

Am I seeing things? Check the variety vista link example. Error koins example looks to be a later state. I've got 5 dollars on fs-102. Lol.

I am now certain I have the FS-102. I will upload more pictures tonight. It is very minimal separation in doubling and is difficult to capture correctly... I dont knoe how the guys on Varietyvista and Cherrypickers get such nice shots

I can see the doubling on the reverse, I agree with FS-102.

FS-101. I do not think there were enough of FS-102 struck from its particular dies to experience such a significant variance in die states as to explain the differences in the lettering between this coin vs. the FS-102 plates.

Sorry, I guess I'm looking at too many COINS (LOL)!

I still do not see this coin being the FS102.

error_koin: I hope you are right!

I'll wait to see your new pics.

It matches the doubling shown from the CherryPickers' Guide. There is no way people could see this doubling without magnification. Worth slabbing even if it has the chance of a "Details" grade?

I see the notches on the F
I stand corrected!

Congrats on your FS-102!

If you are worried about a possible Details grade, I would not bother to have this coin slabbed

Again, just my opinion.

I met with a coin dealer here who works for PCGS and grades coins for them. He said the scratches aren't deep enough to worry about a Details/Cleaned grade. He said MS63. Sent for grading (along with a 1964 Type C), we will see the verdict.

Cool! Can't wait to see what you get back.

Do you have images of the Type C you can post?

It's the coin on the right. He said AU55-58. Pretty cool find when I saw it, easy to distinguish after looking at so many silver Washingtons.
