That is just crazy. Shipping a penny for $2.95 is just as much a scam.

Probably a West coaster who really wants a P mint 2017 and can't get any in change . Still quite stupid to pay that kind of money for one of them .
My roll supplier only charges $1.95 a roll plus postage .

He could have sold it for $2 shipped and made a reasonable profit. A penny, you can put in a flip in an envelope and a stamp.

Compared to this, http://www.ebay.com/itm/2017-P-Linc...OSw~y9ZBTaj, six dollars is nothing. I remember a few weeks ago there was a listing for one MS67 RD 2017 P penny with a price tag of somewhere around $120, and over 20 were sold. Makes me think of how much money I could have made if I graded all my 2017 Ps!

additional coins ship free. maybe one person bought all 11. (not that this makes it better) but they would only pay $3 per coin, and $3 for shipping. make it like $3.50 per penny. (which is only half as bad. haha)

Almost certainly would have lost money blindly sending them in. 67s are harder to find than you think

Awww, I wouldn't be too tough on the bidders. Not everybody who buys coins on ebay is a collector. The picture is stunning and shows off the design nicely. If you have an extra six bucks lying around, it's a paltry sum to pay for a nice work of art.

My local Kroger (here in Texas) is doling out 2017-P cents in their self checkout lanes. Been going on for the past 2 weeks or so.

I have bought from that seller and been happy with his service and quality, although I think I recall his prices are a bit on the high side. Can't blame him, he is apparently filling a need.

Have yet to find one in circulation, but I still would never pay that much for one.

Man, I live it California so the Philadelphia are hard to get. That might be what someone is thinking. I got around it by finding a trading partner. Now I get them as soon as they come out. I wouldn't pay that.
