Quote: I found another 2014 coin I would love to buy, Any suggestions on how much I should overpay on this coin? Or what the value of this coin would be? Cheers Is this double struck dollar coming from the same source as the "Mule"?

No, It's off another dealer. Don't tell me it's a fake as well? Is it a backyard/Aussie slabber job? I think I might stay away from the 2014 $1 anzac coins. The fact that no one replied to this post until asked was if of the same dealer rasied some red flags for me. I have done a little bit of research on it & can only find $2 double struck coins & a few $1 coins. Where other than here can Error coins be looked up, that you don't have to be a member of? This question is going to sound dumb but I am just not 100% confident on my choice. lol I am in the process of sending a few coins & the $1 coin to PCGS. Can anyone help me with what service level I need to choose? I have about 50 ish on the list so far. The $1 would go in Error I presume? What about the $10 Millenium series "The Past" proof coin or the 11/11/11 $5 red poppy or the yearly proof set coins or even the $2 red poppy coins? Modern or Special issue? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers

Quote: No, It's off another dealer. Don't tell me it's a fake as well? I don't think anyone is calling either of these coins "fakes" There are many double struck examples of decimals around and hopefully the "Mule" isn't Mint sport which means that there should be many others out there in the wild for other collectors to find over time. Time will tell for this one

The only reason I didn't comment on the second coin is that I just don't know. I'm not as experienced as some of the other members on this forum, so I've left it up to them to give you an answer. I already have a 2000 mule in my collection, so I can make comments about mules, but double-struck coins are something I know very little about.

Cheers all... I didn't mean to upset anyone with that comment. It just worried me that's all. I love Error coins, Even the Cheap odd one's. These are a couple I just found/Brought, the coin with the two sections missing out of the middle I had to have, I think it's cool. So can anyone point me in the right direction with the PCGS form question? Cheers in advance.

No idea to be honest, but if more than one collector just has to have it to complete their dollar set, could be a few of zeros. Good luck to ya

Well done! Who knows, the 2000 mule itself is a four figure coin even in poor condition. This might be well above that.

For a coin like this, you could ask almost anything you want (at this stage). If more come to market, it'll find a more firm value.

It would be good if it was worth a small fortune. it should go up in value the longer its kept shouldnt it...? A few people told me to sell it now before more are found..? They said it will go down in value as soon as there is heaps on the market. Could that be true...? I dont think so but it made me wonder for a bit.
