I got this in the mail yesterday, and thought of this thread. It says I should send them back and feed a child for a day. I'm keeping them!

Lots of Ps, no Ds, here in western Massachusetts.
I'm sure that many of us (me included) are so used to the P mintmark not being there that when we get a P coin, our first instinct is that it's a D!

I'm convinced some hoarding is going on, but there are still plenty getting into circulation too. Here in Kansas, I can only find 2017-D cents, but in late June I was in Ohio and found two 2017-P cents in the wild. One had a lot of circulation wear and the other looked like it just popped out of a mint roll. So, they're out there, just keep an eye open. Close up photo of the beat up one (lots of dings). See the wear from handling. I think there are water spots too.

batboy, I think those are carbon spots not water spots. Besides a bench grinder, I don't think those carbon spots are coming off! If you find these without carbon spots keep them.

I'm in SO CAL and I have about 7-10 2007 P , I got them in a roll of mixed 2007 P mint and D mint. Great condition almost perfect.

Here in Maryland you can buy 2017P boxes of cents but I bought mine about 3 months ago. So I haven't asked for any more. Going to the bank this week and next and I will ask about availability. Now you all got me curious!

Curious, are these popular for some reason? Is there something unique about them? I came across a few going through about $50 in penny boxes from the bank. I held on to one cause it was in mint like condition. I'll have to try and find it and take pictures.
