Quote: Bought this collection from a gentleman some years back and have no use for them now. He must have paid $2.50 apiece for them because he was convinced one might be worth a $million.

Can someone please post photos for posterity and for the benefit of those who cannot access Craig's List? Asking for a friend.

He writes several comments that make it sound like he is oblivious to their worth and hasn't gone through them.... which means he has already gone through them all with a fine-toothed comb.

I was thinking a reasonable price would be maybe $30 for the lot and he pays shipping.

Here's the text (looks like they only want $1 apiece for them now):
"These are World War 2 pennies. Only made one year (1943). I have heard that these pennies have been sold for over a million dollars a piece at auction. Not sure what makes the difference in value of each penny. Bought this collection from a gentleman some years back and have no use for them now. I have not gone through them because I really don't know too much about them. Pricing to sale them extra cheap! Will be happy with $1.00 each if you buy 100 or more. I have approximately 1000 pennies. Open to offers or trades. Call anytime!"

I tried buying a collection of Lincoln Wheat pennies on the cheap but when they arrived most were badly worn junk.
