I'm gonna revive this topic just to get some more looks at it. I might be able to take better pictures tonight, but I still think it has a chance.

I looked at the overlays, but nothing would make sense here. I'm going to send it off to Mr. Wexler soon, just to get a look.

I would send him the image. He could tell you what it is from the image. (die chip)

I sent him the images. He said he wanted it in hand to give a determination.

Also, I wouldn't think it'd be a die chip. It doesn't have the right look about it. Looks more like a possible gouge or a die event other than chipping or breakage.

I will be here and excited for the results. I am very interested in what John A. Wexler says. If you wanted to, you can send any unlisted Doubled Dies or Doubled Dies where you don't know what number it is with this coin. It's up to you though, not me.

He examined it and determined that it is most likely NOT a doubled die and is more akin to a die break (chip). Oh, well. At least it still has a nice die clash and a large chip on the bust! Lol!

Oh, and goes to show that coop can call stuff what it is from a mile away!
