Quote: I'm not a dealer, trader, investor or grader. I'm just a hobbyist. I'm not taking it with me. My goal was to create a legacy album to "hopefully" keep in the family, long after I'm gone. The kids know how much my collection means to me and how much I paid to put this one particular album together. That's the best I can do while enjoying the accomplishment at the same time.
Very well said After all, it is what makes YOU happy in your hobby!
Quote: You might consider a Dansco 1-1/4 Inch Slipcase for the 8140.
Yes, will do.
Quote: I've also read here on CCF to store Danscos in Ziploc bags.
Yes, I'm way ahead of you. I have also heard of putting a small pack of rice in the Ziploc bag as well. Rice absorbs moisture. Rice could give off some type of harmful fumes. I don't know, so I'm not doing that.
Quote: Instead of rice I would suggest a small silica desiccant packet, the kind you find in new electronics boxes and new shoe boxes that say "do not eat".
Yes! Excellent suggestion. I'm going to buy some of those. Thank you!
Quote: That's one amazing set you've put together USSID18! As someone who is also working on putting together a MS Washington set, I'm really impressed!
Have you posted the set you're working on here somewhere?

I have not yet posted pictures of the in-progress set as a whole because I'm nowhere near completion, but I can do that. It will take me a while to get everything together, but once I do, I'll start a thread. It'll also be a good way of keeping myself motivated

Yes, excellent, outstanding! Would enjoy seeing your progression and your personal preference of the coins you select. !
Quote: Some of them looks like they weren't easy to obtain.
Well, I don't believe you'll find many of them in circulation but they can be obtained, depending what premium you're willing to pay for a high grade coin.
