It's always fun to find a wheatie in change.
Way to go!

Well being from New York, my first thought was that there are no subways in Tennessee. I was thinking about the underground trains. You must be talking about that fast food place. Never mind. Congrats on the find! Good pictures BTW!

Congrats on this milestone! Quote: Subway the sandwich company? Don't worry, he was just being a New Yorker.

Well done! I remember when I was driving Route 66 in 2000 I got a 1942D Wheatie in change somewhere in Oklahoma. Glad they're still around in the wild! In the UK the oldest coins in circulation are dated 1971!

Quote: Subway the sandwich company? Yes, after I read it a couple of times I think that's what he meant Mark. I use to get change all the time in the subway after buying tokens when taking the train.

It should be obvious, Darth wrote "from the Subway" and not "from the subway."

Quote: Sorry Tom, I keep forgetting NY has "delis" - we have Subway's Just imagine if subway started 150+ years ago and they'd call the sandwiches subways... would New Yorkers be riding the deli to work now everyday, then?

Quote: Sorry Tom, I keep forgetting NY has "delis" - we have Subway's - LOL!! In addition, we have hero sandwiches here in NY Mark not subs. I would guess this one is a little bit different from the ones you get at Subway's.

Surely I am not the only one who is hungry after all of this blimpie/grinder/hero/hoagie/po'boy/sub/wedge talk, right?
