You have to be particularly careful with Trade dollars -- there are many counterfeits out there. Best to buy slabbed (by a reputable grader) or ask us before you buy (and have good pictures of both sides). |

It has the obverse of one coin and the reverse of another. I'd be pretty leery of anything purchased along with it, or from the same seller.

 Never buy a potentially high value coin unless there's a somewhat decent return policy. |

It used to be new collectors were encouraged to buy the book before the coin. These days you don't need to buy anything before buying a coin. Basic research is available via the internet that can save you from making a purchase like this. If your phone is dead, walk away. If you can't match the photos with a working phone, walk away.

I can't imagine any retail operation that would want to draw attention to the fact that they sold a counterfeit coin. Bring it back there and if there is resistance, tell them you are filing a report with the police and will also be dropping a note on the FBI website.
