Looks mint state, but I'm not convinced the surfaces are original. Nice variety!

Awesome variety, S-14! It looks mint state and the obverse looks good. Reverse color looks a little funny, but it could just be the lighting. Nice cherrypick! Mine is graded AU details cleaned unfortunately, but I still like it. Should be worth a lot if you ever try to sell it, I don't think one has ever really sold before, so hard to gauge prices, but I think you're right with the $1k ballpark figure. Could consign with Rick Snow if you would part with it, probably the best place to sell varieties like this one.

@Mike1487 nailed the variety (although it's hard to miss).
Snow's guide has it marked as having a 3x-5x premium.
If you haven't already submitted it I strongly suggests paying the extra for variety attribution.

I've visited Rick at the major coin shows in person (Whitman Expo, FUN). He's very friendly and can answer questions for you. I've also sent him coins through the mail as well after emailing him.
