Looking at the poll today, I can see not posting under the commemoratives forum too often and not getting to know commems... was a mistake!

Awesome guy. I know him "in person" as well. He is always ready to help out a fellow cointhusiast.

Update on the poll ..
We have 20 votes ... thank you for them.
19 Votes for question #1. 'Grant the honorary CCF title.'
1 Vote for question #4. Who is commems?
I'll leave this poll open until Friday 11/17 at 5pm EST.
Any other views?
Is commems contributions to our wonderful forum worthy of of the honorary tile CCF Master Historian of USA Commemorative Coins?

I would like to latch on to David's idea and suggest CCF go a step further: 1) Gather all of commem's posts and put them all into 1 single archive that with a dedicated title so that anyone can easily ready them without having to do any kind of search/query. 2) A 2nd step would be to sort and organize all of commem's post and put them into 1 single pdf 'book' (ie: CCF publish commem's post in a form of pdf book).
NOTE: Obviously, both David's and mine suggest must be agreed by commem and CCF community.
Thank you for reading.

I'd like to thank nickelsearcher for his ongoing and enthusiastic support of my contributions to CCF and for going above and beyond by initiating this petition.
I'd also like to thank those who shared their thoughts here in this thread and have done so in my other posts about the classic and modern series of US commemoratives. I enjoy sharing my stories with the CCF community and would likely do it regardless, but I always appreciate it when folks offer up some kind words and/or positive feedback on my efforts.
Where this petition goes, if anywhere, is not for me to decide, but I'd like all to know that the simple fact that it was started and then supported by a group of CCF'ers familiar with my posts has been a terrific - and unexpected - reward and one I will always remember.

The votes are in ... and the fabulous CCF admin dudes have not objected to my sincere intent to honor a truly valued member. By a landslide with 25/29 votes ... our CCF friend and outstanding contributor commems is now hereby awarded the honorary title of: CCF Master Historian of USA Commemorative CoinsSpeaking only for myself ... I read any new commems contribution to this sub-forum with not only anticipation but with awe ... the nuanced history and smooth writing style always serve to bring life to the history behind the coins ... well beyond the easy information so readily available but so often peddled as 'knowledge'. commems does the research to discern the hard to find facts ... and willingly shares all of that with us right here at the CCF. I'm thrilled that commems is here with us ... and hopefully accepting of this honor which your votes have bestowed. Best - David

Writing to perhaps close this thread ... or perhaps my comments might inspire some further discussion: Leveraging SA4H comments .... Quote: Gather all of commem's posts and put them all into 1 single archive that with a dedicated title so that anyone can easily ready them without having to do any kind of search/query. Great idea ... is this possible? A dedicated place within this sub-forum where all of commems valued posts are in one place. That would surely enhance the educational mission of the CCF. Quote: A 2nd step would be to sort and organize all of commem's post and put them into 1 single pdf 'book' (ie: CCF publish commem's post in a form of pdf book. That will not likely happen ... the knowledge commems kindly shares with us is commems personal intellectual property ... although I've shared for many years now that I have been suggesting my friend commems publish the ultimate commemorative history book ... Still waiting on the publication date of the book. Many Thanks to all of you for the valued votes and support of commems contributions to this sub-forum.

If someone wants to collect links to all of his posts and put them into a reply here, I can split that into a post and ask the boss to make it a sticky. Maybe. No promises.

Seeing a post about commems's health condition, I just want to bring this thread back to live.
I still hope that my suggestion will become a reality soon:
