Above you stated:
"I had to remove them from public view, they were the biggest contributing factor to us going through foreclosure right now."
How can having a specific forum available to the public create a monetary issue for a site?

Very easily when you're main income is the ebay affiliate program and there's 900-1,000 topics and 4,000-5,000 replies a month pointing out to everyone that visits the site how crappy ebay is. It's cost me $7,000-$10,000/month. They have literally poisoned most of our viewership towards ebay.

It's a shame you've personally paid the price for calling attention to a huge problem with suspect coins being sold on ebay, Bobby. I would have hoped that ebay would support you in your efforts to improve things rather than penalizing you financially for doing so. Given what you've shared with the family, it probably makes more sense to abandon the efforts to report the problems than to limit it to a few folks who'll never expose enough to make a real difference.

I disagree... every little bit helps... if Bobby's efforts means that somewhere out there, a young numismatist does not blow their saved money on a counterfeit coin... it is worth it. There were only a handful of dedicated people actively using those forums anyway, because it takes time as a volunteer effort. So what Bobby has done makes perfect sense... for now...

Bobby, can I get access? I came across some Disney coins at a pawn shop and found some reported counterfeits from CCF via search engine. Thanks!

I would also like access if possible. I learned a great deal from the counterfeit postings. Secondly, how can I /we help with the ebay income stream issue? I buy a lot on ebay, not just coins but stuff for home and my shop. If I sign in to ebay through CCF does that help? I have no clue how they monetize this stuff.

I would like to request access as well. Mainly for learning about fakes for US coins on ebay and what to look out for. And if there is a way for me to place my ebay orders through this site, let me know so I can do my bit as well. Regards, Michael

MikeF, I believe you have to exit CCF and enter again for the change to work.
