Quote:2009 was quite a year for coinage. The Territory Quarters don't fit in the State Quarters, or ATB folders. The Nickels were among the lowest minted sine the 50's The Lincoln Series, not only added 4 different backs, but also had so many doubled die varieties. There are many potentially valuable coins as well including the copper versions of the Lincoln Cent. In twenty years many of the zincs will be gone but most of the coppers will still be available and easily promoted. Nice Gems could bring huge premiums. This probably won't apply to the zincs because of the large number saved.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

Quote: I added a page for them in my Statehood Dansco. Smart. I am sure that eventually there will be a big book with all 23 years worth of quarters including the 2009s and the prices will jump because collectors hate empty holes. :)

That's news to me, I guess I never got caught up with this.
Have to keep a look out for these from now.

I hope I'll be forgiven for necro'ing this thread but I just got this guy in change from a vending machine (in Texas) and I just had to post! She may not look like much but she's got it where it counts, kid!

It's all good... I'm finding 2009-P nickels about every 15,000 coins or so... they just aren't out there in quantity in the states.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

Congrats and welcome to the forum. I'm still looking through rolls and don't have one yet. I'm not sure they really exist or exist in my area.

I was given a 2009-P nickel in change at the Duty Free shop in Barbados cruise terminal in November 2014!

I opened my 1st case of nickels a couple weeks ago. I ended up with 1 silver & 2-2009 P's as well as a bunch of 38's-59's. I did not realize how lucky I was.

Yes they do I find em every once in a while. Try finding a dime, quarter or half though. There even harder if not impossible to find in circulation!
