if there was a car in my yard it would probably have a body in the trunk and I wouldn't want to dig it up

Lol we thought about there being a body in it lol.. I'm trying to figure out if I should dig up the rest.. its right behind my house and has already made a big mess lol. I would LOVE to see the interior though.. almost to it but no quite that close.. it gets deeper as it goes cause its at an angle in the ground..

Amazing!
You might as well complete your dig, would be interesting to see how much of it "held up" underground!

lol yeah I probably could sell it.. I've been debating on digging the whole thing.. I really wanna but its already made such a mess and I have no way of getting it out of the ground. If I dig any further I will be sure to post new pictures though! Maybe tomorrow I will consider digging to the interior..

Id definitely complete the dig cause you could find old coins in the car. Especially under the seats and behind em. Oops didnt see that Jim wrote the same thing.

After that kind of find you have to keep the Ford emblem. Put it in a shadow box or something with a picture of the excavation. That is just great. (GRIN) Happy Hunting, Doug in OR
PS It's great, but I don't want to find one. (GRIN)

Heck, I found TWO cars! Image: CoinsCars.jpg38.66 KB Couldn't resist ... Sorry about the quality; it's just a quick shot with my little digital camera. I really wanted to show you what less than ten years in the ground does to zinc cents, just in case anyone thinks that these aberrations will last longer than a presidential candidate's promises. I dug these out of the ground last and the previous summer from my rental lot next door. Note that the three zincs in the center are badly corroded; the one on the right is a '92. The top left cent is a '44-D and probably has been in the ground for 30-40 years, as I found it close to the sidewalk. The Rosie and nearly all of the cents (the top center is a '79-D) were within 10 yards of the house, and based on the dates (mostly after '92) I suspect that one or the other of the under-5-year-old kiddies who once lived there went "Wheeee!" with a handful of coins. I've found about four dozen cents and two dimes and various other objects, including a flatware knife, an eight-foot dog chain, these two little cars, and an assortment of junk. Unfortunately, the only persons who lived in my own house before me were adults, so all I can seem to dig up from my lot are roofing nails - in fact, the first reason I dragged my White's 4HDX out (after snagging it for $20 at a yard sale) was to find the nails in my driveway and garden plot, both next to the house. Found over a hundred of them ...
