If you have reviewed the Forum Rules, and read the Tutorials then the Unwritten Rules go into effect. Here is the first one: Unwritten Rule #1: There are no stupid questions. -- There are some really smart coin collectors on this forum who know a ton about removing surface debris from coins. Before I tried any of the various methods, I would first search the Main Coin Forum for "cleaning", "acetone", and similar. (You can also search the entire forum, although discussions about 'cleaning' coins are supposed to be posted in the Main Coin Forum.) You'll find some very helpful threads, such as: Cleaning coins with acetone. After you have done an acetone bath, rinsed, and dried the coins think of protecting them in a 2X2 or plastic holder. I look forward to your questions, I can always learn something.
