I got a DVD set of the T.V series Combat. It's the first year of the series, 1962 and in black and white. C'mon now I know some of the people on this forum remember that show. Vic Morrow, Tuesday night? Thankfully none of the nit-wits that run around colorizing black and white classics got to this one.

I absolutely remember that show. It was one I never missed. The other show I never missed from back then was 12 O'Clock High.. As for Xmas, I bought myself an early present last month, a portable DVD player for my flights to California last month, & of course the $25 certificate I won here. (I'm to old for presents anyway, I have always felt that it should be for the kids)

Mrs Claus came to my house, Ho Ho Ho!!! In past years I have had a number of opportunities to acquire these two coins, minted at the Denver mint, in order to finish my Oregon Trail commemorative set, I just never got around to doing it. So out of the blue, on Christmas morning my better half up and presented me with both the 1933D and 1934D half dollars. Both mid-range MS coins and match the rest of the set perfectly, could not have done better myself. I would say this was a Christmas to remember in the way of numismatics.

Well friends I hate to announce the Coin Fairy was so busy with all of you that I was NOT on the route this year! (tears here) But I did receive a little surprise from NDGOFLO that I wasn't expecting, a $2 Euro commemorative and some SILVER, so it was not a complete shutout! Looking forward to sharing and trading with all of you in the next year and do hope the best for everyone in 2006 which will be the FIRST full year for the KNIGHTS of the COIN TABLE and our 1st issue of our soon to be much sought after world famous wooden dollar in a strict limited issue of 250! Everyone have a great new year and thank you for the memories this past year! It has been more than fun!

Oh No Santa just dropped off a late present a bilz box - It is a three dimensional puzzle with multiple levels that one has to navagate a ball through a maze on both levels. If and when you get through the maze it releases a compartment which holds a banknote in my case a $20.00 note Dang thing took me about an hour to figure out how to get the thing solved. http://www.qvc.com/scripts/detail.d...-_-13:H55099if you visit this page click on the zoom function Yes Lim I know I could have solved it with a hammer in 1 minute or less.

I received no coins, but there was a nifty little QX5 under the tree for me. :)
I have a thread posted with the first pics - couldn't even open the accessories bag or read the instructions before I had a dollar under the glass.

Old Dan:
Sounds like you did well.
Santa evidentally spent lots of time in Wyoming and Colorado this year.

I can't help but wonder if maybe Bubba Claus may have slid across the Kentucky border into Indiana and short changed us Hoosiers? Coon dogs DO tend to wander!

We stopped exchanging gifts a few years ago. Both my family and my wife's family agreed to the "policy change" and we all are very happy about it! It really takes the stress out of the holiday season. It is much less hectic and more relaxing without having to go to the mall and buy a bunch of c**p for everybody. It is just nice to get together and visit with the family and eat lots of junk food. Highly recommended.

Well I guess I must fess up! I didn't get any coins for Xmas so I ordered some on my own! Had to have the Liberia "Titanic" coins with the chunk of coal that was raised during a 2001(I believe) expedition to the shipwreck. Now all recovery efforts are banned so that chunk of coal embedded in those coins kept calling to me! Very small mintage and the thought of that coal lying on bottom of the ocean all these years and being raised from such a famous shipwreck makes it all worthwhile and the coin is NOT round but oblong so its definitely different. Hopefully I will be able to post a photo one of these days!

Well, it was the funniest thing...I got home Christmas night and found that one of Santa's helpers who lives in the Land Down Under had given me a Perth Mint Centenary Sovereign! I'm still thinking this must have been a dream of some kind, maybe too much hot cider or something...did anyone else have a dream like this?
