Parklane64, Yes I did have a few coins tucked away from my younger days. A little bit of this and a little bit of that... and one 1962 proof set in the hard white plastic case/holder. The wife doesn't have any collecting hobbies but I used to collect stamps and baseball cards around that same timeframe in Florida. I have them around here somewhere. Been in the Georgia metropolis of Buford since 2000. As far as having any favord coins to collect... Well, because I am playing catch up after being out of it for so long over the past several months I have filled up three of those plastic long PCGS slab boxes with 2" x 3" Silver dollar slabs, four of the 4"x6" plastic PCGS boxes with silver dollar OGP boxes(coins inside), and one cardboard box that is about 18"x18"x8" filled with proof sets, the entire set of National Parks Quarters that have been released so far...Three of the 225th Anniversary Metal Sets... two of the 225th Anniversary Medal single release... both proof and silver proof sets from 1976 to date. Two of the Enhanced Uncirculated sets the mint sells. A few of those Presidential coins/medallions too. Oh and I almost forgot... 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016 Limited Edition Silver Proof Sets, a 1955, two 1957, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, and 1964 proof sets. And, yes, I own a big safe. And, I own a lot of guns. And, I know how to use them.

Thank you for the additional welcomes ! Anyone familiar with 1992-D Lincoln Penny having any documented mint errors? One of the members, Perfect Error, has one and he started a thread & posted pictures. I actually found this forum while I was researching the error. I had found one these in my spare change a couple weeks ago. I posted pics of the one I have in addition to the pictures already posted by Perfect Error; http://goccf.com/t/302136

to the forums! Discount the idea of investing, coins are often a poor investment since collectors collect for reasons that are not based strictly upon returns and future performance. You may grow an emotional attachment to your coins which is bad investing.

Yes, the bullion bars are for investment. If the coins help along that line, all the better.
Thanks for the welcome!

About to write a book regarding the coin collection? Sounds very ambitious! Good luck there!
