Well, no one got it right. Which is what I was hoping for, actually. You guys saw what I saw, and I wanted some confirmation before I bought it. Been looking for a 1926-S looking like this at a reasonable price forever.

She's all mine now!

Robbed, just look at that red. Got the numerical grade right for a change! Well done, beautiful coin.

Thank you, coinfrog! With all of that red, I could not believe it got a BN designation. I have seen many 1926-S Lincolns with much less red than this one called RB. I've literally been looking for a reasonably priced MS 26-S with this coloring for about 15 years. I wanted to buy it last night, but I decided to sleep on it and also let you guys take a look to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me.

There does appear to be a good bit of Red remaining for a Brown designation. The pictures may be deceiving however. You bought it from one of the top seller's of U.S. Small Cents in the world so I'm sure it's plenty nice (or he wouldn't have bought it!).

Thanks, Mike1487! No plans to crack it out of its slab. Am going to take it to my LCS next week when I get it.

Yeah, that red really stood out to me. Yes, pictures indeed can be deceiving, but judging by what I saw and the comments left for the seller, they seem to have a very good reputation. I can't wait to get it in the mail!

I'd like to see some better pictures with a bit less light.....more like it'd look in hand.

I suspect it may look more like this in hand:

It's a beautiful coin... VERY happy with it. A nice amount of red on both sides. I'll try and take some better pictures of the reverse (pictures are a little blurry) - it actually is a tad more red than the obverse.

Thanks, jbuck... the goal is to eventually have my Lincoln set with every coin displaying at least a trace of red luster - that means I'll eventually have to crack the four figure barrier (09S VDB and 14-D). This one definitely was one I knew I would be tough...and to get an MS-64 example with a good amount of red showing for under 4 figures is awesome! Right now I'm working my way back through the 1920s. Lots of tough coins, but this one is definitely the toughest one to find from that decade with some red.
