Greysheet is a wholesale price. They haven't sold for the greysheet pricd since 2003. The PCGS auction prices realized tool shows them consistently selling for double and triple that

"Freshest"? Autocorrect on Graysheet perhaps? Not sure what you mean otherwise.

I get that Graysheet is wholesale and not always on the mark. Double to triple I expect (which would be $800-$1,200) hence my initial price expectation, but we are now at six times Graysheet, not double or triple.

I'll be interested to see just how much higher it actually goes.

Yea Siri changed that for some reason. It may be a good variety I dunno, but if they're all going double and triple it's not out of the question for a premium one to be around that price

17 of the 25 bids are from two fighters. An ideal situation for David with two bidders that just won't quit.

It may be for crack out as I would have said easy 64 if upgraded.

A 64 of that quality would use $2500 as a nice down payment.

That's a lot of cheddar. I'll be content with my 62 CAC as I like the appearance. I would post pictures, but this board for some reason converts lowercase NGC to uppercase NGC which breaks image URL references if hosted on a linux server, since those filename references are case sensitive.

Sigh.

EDIT: I'll just link to the web page with my Half Cents on them: https://myhalfcents.com/halfcents.shtml

You could upload the image to CCF, and post that.

That bidding is totally crazy. Neither one will pay, whoever wins.

So you think it's a shilling situation?

Not schilling, but there has been a very noticeable increase of non paying buyers and buyers canceling orders on ebay this year. That said I think they'll pay and be happy with a nice looking coin, but they were saying they think bidders got carried away and will back out

Agree, not a shilling situation. Both bidders aren't rookies, but maybe don't know the value. That's hard to believe. It's a tough coin and usually goes for retail at $1000 max, even a 64 only goes for about $2500. We might be seeing that one again soon.

With the price run up as far as it had, I didn't expect there to be any sniping activity, but I was wrong. In the last 10 seconds, the same two bidders ran it from $2,500 to $3,750 when all was said and done.

Lovely coin, but I'm sorry, that's nuts.

Although I suppose if you make 6 or 7 figures and you really like the coin, what's a few grand to get what you want?

These are the types of auctions that make sellers dance the Snoopy dance.
