Beautiful pattern dollar jmwilson, congratulations!

Here's my only pattern, a J-160 in NGC PF-65, with a double-struck obverse:

I own a few items that were made in anticipation of the Sacagawea dollar release by the Gallery Mint and Daniel Carr. Not sure if those count as Patterns.

What is the legality of owning a pattern or trial coin from another country? I have heard the government of said countries can confiscate the coin at will.

Usually it's perfectly legal, in some cases other countries will even produce extras for sale to collectors.

Mike F. Bill Jones is alive and well. He was at the FUN show in January.

Awesome! Next time you talk to him, tell him MikeF said to get his butt back over here. It's unfortunate when snotty teenagers act like they know more than a guy who has been collecting for over 50 years. I'm pretty sure I know which annoying bozo ran him off.
