With all due respect SPP (and I really do respect your dedication and good work), it is REALLY absurd. My comment is not against the family in general or any of its member, but the RCM. Plain and simple, the rule is dumb. But I get it. With every rule comes a potential reward for those who do follow the rule.

Quote: Jarms049, it has become a rule (customary?) that no images of "new" coins may be shown on this - or any - website prior to the actual 'public' release of that coin. Dcadon, my apologies! Now that someone has posted a pic from CC&C, I must say - it is a good looking piece!

@MoneyPenney
No surprise, as you were allowed to buy 2 per house hold.

The lack of detail in the frosted cameo on the obverse is quite flat as compared to the original. The face details are more dramatic in the original. I am not sure why 1943 is significant. Same design from 1937 to 1952 with King George VI.

The original is far better. The king's effigy looks really odd on the new coin. No relief, frosty and a coin that looks like a fake IMO. Perhaps RCM's computerized rendition doesn't help. Hey - here's an idea. Maybe the RCM could release images of ACTUAL coins to Master Club members - secret / private pictures that nobody else could see? And I would share back to the community until I'm shut down.

Must agree - original design is much better looking. Just like the original '67 Alex Colville designs looked better than the re-rendered designs in 2017.

Member of the other forum found, that now the Talisman as well selling these Exclusive MC 50-cent coins... I am sure, the dealers not ask for MC membership ID and do not check it for validity. Is it direct lie, RCM use "duality" in the item description: "We did strike it solely for MC Members, and do distribute to them only, but the dealers, who bought the coin from us, will sell it to everyone"

I just picked one up from Bullion Mart in Toronto. I must say, it is stunning. I love the remastered and 50 cent collections.
