Value would most likely be gone unless they are of some super low mintage and/or a rare error coin. Which, last time I checked, those would be neither. But, value is relative, I am sure someone somewhere would appreciate them. Pictures might help determine this.

Finding proofs in circulation is great and is something I have yet to experience. However, circulated proofs are known as "impaired proofs" because of even light marks on the coin.

Given the coins mentioned, I would say they are all worth face value now.

Pics are great, though, and we all love 'em.

to CCF. No premium but,now would be a great time to start your "impaired proof" collection. We all find one every now and then.

I have a album which I refer to as odd coins. That is all coins found wourth saving while hunting my other collections. All these would end up in there.

Nice Find. And welcome aboard.

Sometimes impaired modern proofs have premiums for low mintage issues, I've also seem them carry premiums in bulk lots but not very much. Extremely low grade modern proofs (like VG grade) would likely carry premiums if slabbed due to low-ball collectors

People who inherit, steal, or otherwise acquire these coins are just unaware of their true value. They see money, they spend it.

And yes JBuck...it's very sad to hear some of
the coins that have been just "spent".

Sometimes coin shops will get very overstocked on prof sets. They also will
get some sets that have one or two impaired coins, or sets with damaged
or no boxes.

For sets like these they will often crack them open and dump the coins
at the local banks.
