@numisma, this post isn't my guess for the day, but rather a request for clarification. In today's image we can see part of the edge of the coin. Are you posting these pics true to their location on the coin? In other words, is today's pic actually the lower right-hand part of the coin and yesterday's pic was the mid-right hand side of the coin? Or is that not necessarily true? Thx!

Ok well, I think that I can get us at least close, so if I'm not exactly right with my guess, then others should look around the same general timeframe for their guesses.

That looks like a Follis from the Byzantine Empire issued under the authority of Romanus III (1028-1034 AD). If I am correct, then it should be attributed as Sear 1823. What gives it away for me is the series of steps at the bottom (that hold a cross) and the bASIL in the inscription.
