I have always assumed that Encased Cents were cheap giveaways to customers but while researching this google AI produced this statement

"A high-quality souvenir like an encased Indian Head cent was expensive to make in 1905. The National Ring Traveler Co. did not hand these out to ordinary factory workers. These were premium promotional items handed directly to wealthy mill owners, purchasing agents, and textile engineers to secure massive corporate supply contracts for spinning machinery parts."

I'm not sure this is accurate but it's interesting to contemplate.

The Colorado entry for my 50 state collection. Frank Gyllensten ran a hotel and liquor business in Denver in 1901 per the Svensk-Amerikanska Western, February 14, 1901. I have not found another example and this was not listed in Tokencatalog until I added it.
