Raining so much here that there isn't much point going outside. So, good excuse to get a bag of $2 coins and noodle them. Ended up being a very good thing to do. Found quite a few coins in very good condition. There were eight 2024 purple poppy coins and 12 x 2020 "passion" coins in virtually uncirculated condition. A few other coins in similar condition too to round out a good noodle. Very unusual to find so many of the same designs in one noodle let alone for them to all be in such good condition. I'm guessing they were added to the rolling process from uncirculated rolls or bags? Anyone have any theories about how so many 'perfect' coins ended up in the same bag? Sorry for the poor quality photo but I hope you can get the idea? There were a few other coins in really good condition too. Certainly a good afternoon of noodling!

Found these 50c coins today in a bag. According to the RAM website they are all low mintage coins. Even though they have had a few knocks while in circulation I am going to hang on to them. Does anyone else out there keep low mintage coins from circulation even if they are a bit the worse for wear? Might not be worth much during my lifetime but maybe for the next generation they might end up valuable?

I do with the 2001 Centenary State Coins, been collecting/buying/finding them since they were released, have hundreds. I use to collect Oz. low mintage years when ebay first started in Oz,mainly 50c & $1 & $2,but have lost interest the last few years, don't even noodle anymore, sigh.
