I believe that the only master club member that can view the set are Prestige members.

There is no difference between Prestige and Platinum Plus members. We get the same advance warning email and same access to the website.

You only need to spend $5000 to be Platinum Plus so a lot of Master Club members already seen the coin set.

The fact remains why did the RCM make the same Murano Glass coin set except for the size and date. There is no originality to it at all. It is like doing the Big Coin Series over and over again. They were great and they then remake the same set but with colour. Then they did the it a 3rd time with a rose gold version.

I already have original lady bug and there is no way I will spend close to $2000 for a duplicate.

I guess its all about preference. Buy what you like. Not everyone has the original 1 oz coins. This is an opportunity for who ever likes this set to pick it up. I prefer the larger format for displaying my collection. Not for everyone though. The RCM are notorious in duplicating coins. It doesn't mean that you have to buy them all. I do have all Silver dollars from 1935 to date. Most of them are duplicates except for the date. Still a lot of peeps collect duplicate coins. I have to think that there aren't a whole lot of Prestige and Platinum Members that would jump on this set for it to be sold out. Probably will be sold out when it hits the general public. IMO

I am with you. I, too, missed out on the original one ounce coins. I like the large format whether it sells out or not. When I look back at the gold murano glass set that was priced at almost 18,000., I wish I had purchased that as well. It did not sell out .... it shows as "archived".

Almost assured that if this set sells out, there will be a colour version due to greed just so to devalue the original set, seen this many times

This is a colored coin set. The flowers and the insects are colored. I don't see what else they would color. The only thing that they would possibly do is a 5 oz gold plated coin which would look ugly.IMO I don't see that there would be any more versions of these coins. But I could be wrong. The silver back ground is perfect as it makes the colors stand out.

They could gold accent the rims, or what not didn't think the RCM would completely destroy the big coin series with it's many variations, but they did until we stop buying

I think, the coins already "milked" enough.
People call it "half/half", kind of cream, but with the milk.

But, imo, still bit special.
For the collector who missed the first coin, and don't want to pay 800-1000 for it, this set will be very nice purchase.

Talisman already have listed the set (together with other July release coins)

Have no idea, how many would they have of these sets, but no limit purchase specified.

No sell out, now open to public.

Just as I thought the set is a dud. There is absolutely no need to release this set except as a cash grab by the RCM.

The Murano insect coins have been done to death and no sell out yet reflects this.

The coin collector who miss the first coin is unlikely to spend $1800 to get it when he could get one for less than $1000. For one thing, the 5 oz size coin won't match the rest of their 1 oz coins. Secondly, if that collector can't afford a $1000 coin, what makes you think he can afford a $1800 set.

I guess that's what coin collecting is all about. You buy what you like or collect. I personally like the larger coins. To me it really doesn't matter that the RCM did these in a 1 oz format. You'll never please everyone. If you don't like the set then just don't buy it. This is a hobby and not a coin bashing session. :)

I am with @jimper.

I have been a staunch critic of the RCM and their "jump the shark" moments... Specifically Enterprise shaped "coin", Carousel, Canadian Fauna figurines etc. but I was drawn to the Ladybird in 2011. I will happily add these to their 1 oz and base metal companions. My only regret is I missed out on the Gold issue in 2015 (I think) but I am not sure I could have found the $18K necessary to buy the set of 5... Funny, I have never seen these show up in the secondary market... Maybe I am looking in the wrong places.

I will still complain about the RCM policy of setting the floor for Silver Proof coins at 5X bullion and going up from there but the sage advice from many on this forum should be noted:
1) Don't expect NCLT to be an investment that will provide positive ROI on any short or medium term.
2) Buy what you like for the enjoyment of the item.

Sure it's always buy what you like, but if 96% or more of the issues immediately loses value, as mentioned a lot of GTA dealers are just offering bullion value for non popular coins, not long ago they offered around 70% of issue. Hard to enjoy and stay in the hobby if these are your first purchases. The gold NCLT rarely hits the market, but generally attract only bullion bids
