Hello everyone, newbie to forum here I have over 100 of the same type of die chips at different stages of deterioration and different size chips. It appears it started at the eyebrow and randomly threw chips to the hair then the nose and a few made it to the lip. Eventually the eyebrow was a mess. Was hoping someone had heard something about this. And if there is any value to the coins. I suspect not because I found so many of them.

Limoscott They are too common to have any value. I have a few that show the progression (increase in size) of the chips in my collection. Do the coins you have show a progression?
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

The die chips were what I feel was an issue with a bunch of dies that were not tempered correctly. Quenched too soon, making the dies brittle. These are very common to find on the modern dimes. No premium for these. They are just die events. (Not varieties)

Wonder how much a whole roll of 2018 p with die chips would bring.
