I checked and believed it was nickel. I searched around for the info and found date with dots, but not anything without dots.

I ask because there seems to be two versions of the coin without dots: nickel (essentially no value) and copper-nickel (decent value). The weight is listed as the same for each composition. Nickel is strongly magnetic, whereas copper-nickel is not magnetic. That should tell you what you have.

Thank you very much Spruett001 for the info. Also, I read it somewhere that there are some minted with Aluminum right? Copper Nickel and Nickel weight 3grs, and Aluminum weight 1.7grs right?

I didn't see anything about aluminum, but I wouldn't put it out of consideration with French coins of this time. For this issue, I only see dots/no dots and nickel/copper-nickel.
