Yes, I will report on the 3 months experience when I get back to Sydney.

I can assure you, that although I have about another three weeks of this Grand Tour to complete, lots, both good and bad, has already happened.

Should be a good as well as an entertaining read, for the rest of the CCF members.

Yes, also looking forward to your report. That's is the ONLY way I travel the world. I've never been more than 800 miles from the birthplace and certainly never possessed a passport. I need to get out more...

Glad you're having this adventure.

Currently in Trento, Italy.
Will be in Sicily in a couple of days time.

It is the sites of the ancient Greeks that interest me most.

Make sure you pick up some of those zero "0" denomination euro notes...go to any local tourist trap.

Checking in from Palermo, Sicily.

Looking forward to finding out more about:
Pre Greek Phoenician settlement
Greek
Roman
Western Roman Empire - Byzantines
Arabic Islamic culture
Norman influences
Kingdom of the Two Siciles
Napoelonic era
Sicily, as part of the Italian Nation.

Which, in various parts, is illustrated by the hardware that describes my collection World collection - all ages and cultures.

In this regard, Sicily has arguably the most varied mixture of cultural influences.
Hopefully, my collection illustrates at least some of those various cultural influences.

Home again after nearly 3 months out of Australia.
10 plane flights, 3 of then on A380's, largest passenger plane in the World.
20 medium or long distance train trips
plus the transfers at the ends of each.

Took 2,300 pictures, I will pick a few of the best and post them.

During my tour of Sicily, I was the only Australian in a group of otherwise only Americans. They proved to be a really great group to travel with!

Numismatically, dismal. I found only one coin dealer, and he was only selling modern proof issues.
