Quote: Before I was ready to start marketing them I needed to know exactly what I have here. From those pics you showed damaged copper cents worth about 2 cents each to a copper bug stacker type

Quote: The two toned cent was probably dipped half way down on a container and turned half pink the other part dark. Can of coke probably putting it half in for a science experiment

to the CCF. What do you plan to 'market' them as? They are culls and worth copper value.

You got taken , hope you didn't pay too much for that junk bag . Do you remember how he listed it ? Chances are he might have said they were culls , too late now I don't think his return policy stated '' Up To 22 Years ''.

The steel cent looks ok, unless I am missing something. So maybe some of the coins would carry a small premium. I didn't understand your post. Are you asking for the best way to sell damaged/worn coins online?

Apparently this bag was used as a sort of club by gangsters. Coins shown are basically what is called PMD or Post Mint Damaged.

loubaby51 to CCF. You are in one of the best sites, if not the best of its kind...where knowledgeable experts help. Have an open mind from the experts' coin assessments. You will be learning from the experts, as I, the newbie, am learning. At first, I tried to find the most mangled coin there is without buying though. Got coins from banks. After I post my coins at CCF, I start getting feedbacks from the experts. That's the beginning of my educational process. Enjoy the hobby... Learn first then the premium (marketing of coins) will follow... NOT buy coins ... Expect for premium ...then learn. The experts will help you....have fun...

Quote:... you've set a couple records on this forum from what I've seen - you bought coins off ebay in 1996, and you waited 22 years to actually look at them Since most likely multiple searched, unlikely to find an impaired 14d or other key. I think it has been said getting copper value, or list as culls. Don't know how much you paid back then, so if you have to sell for less, consider it tuition /education cost for the hobby

Loubaby welcome. Don't let the meanies run you off, I'm on the nicest gentle team. Think powerful good things and a 1955 double die obverse will be in your bag. OMG man did you say "what da #*@!" when you opened the bag? That's incredible you waited 22 years, I would have lasted about 20 minutes. Not laughing at ya but with ya. Stick around the bedrocks and pillars just snarl and growl between giving out killer information. Welcome aboard, about any question you have about coins is in archives.Spend some times on rules and posting and your "In".

*** Edited by Staff to remove YELLING. All capital letters is the internet version of yelling. Please do not do it in titles or posts. ***If I was you I would put them back on ebay and start a auction setting and state you purchased then 20 plus years ago not what I was looking for let them know whats in there and see if you cant get some bids on it trust me ive sold worse and some people have other things in mind for them than what you did see what you can get and find some better one at this point what do you have to lose I think some of them look pretty cool people do thing with pennies that you and I may never think of I have seen a lot of different things with them I sold a bag of bad coins to a middle school teacher for science project...And who knows you might get enough to replace them even 1/2 of them and come out better than you ever though... What do you have to lose at this point right? Good luck to ya I think you can recover from this I know I would give it a go.... Just word it right to the write person looking for a bag of coppep or culls or both good luck
