Quote: Why on earth would someone slab THAT coin? And what sucker's going to pay that price for a common coin? 66+ is not an easily found grade for that date. They were obviously thinking it was a 67 and had a good eye to spot that it was very very close. Quote: Some of the stuff I see slabbed just makes me shake my head.. So many bias comments made without doing research make me face palm.

While a 71-s PCGS MS66 is around a 20$ coin - a MS66+ can get up to around $90/100 real fast - so I'm not surprised

I don't understand why the last few comments are in this topic.

Someone on here (no names) commented on what a waste of money this same seller spent on grading a 1971-S LMC at MS66+. Well those were explanations and comments on such. When it was explained the "someone" went back and edited all his posts to get rid of those statements downgrading the MS66+ grading of the 71-S LMC and it being a waste of money/ https://www.ebay.com/itm/1971-S-Lin...AOSwLmVXEEuq

Quote: Why on earth would someone slab THAT coin? And what sucker's going to pay that price for a common coin? The top of the PCGS population for the 1971S is MS-67. In these grades they are not common. The S mint turned out 528 million, out of those the vast majority are MS-65 and below, even in mint sets. Finding a well-struck, pristine example is difficult, as with most of the rest of the Memorial cent series.
